Handbook 2013

Did you get the handbook for 2013? No? Never mind. I did and I’m willing to share *grin*. I made some side comments but feel free to ignore those :)

handbook

HEALTH
🔹Drink plenty of water (Yeah… I should)

🔹Eat Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince & dinner like a beggar

🔹Live with the 3 Es- Energy, Enthusiasm & Empathy

🔹Make time to pray (always)

🔹Play more games (not at work though)

🔹Read more books than you did in 2012

🔹Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day (And do what?)

🔹Sleep for 7 hours (hmm…)

🔹Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily And while you walk, smile (lol, ok)

PERSONALITY
🔹Don’t over do. Keep your limits (yeah… I should practise this)

🔹Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does (What?!?! ! NO! I don’t believe that)

🔹Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip (I agree)

🔹Dream more while you are awake (Lol, hmm… No comment)

🔹Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need (umm… I don’t have my Ford Edge yet…)

🔹Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness. (I so agree! Bb please read this again!)

🔹Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others (Je suis d’accord)

🔹Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present (I hate the word “past”!)
🔹
No one is in charge of your happiness except you (Gbam!)

🔹Smile and laugh more (:) :) )

🔹You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree (What if I’m right?)

SOCIETY
🔹Call your family often (ok)

🔹Each day give something good to others (ok)

🔹Forgive everyone for everything (You need special grace for this one)

🔹Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6 (yeah…)

🔹Try to make at least three people smile each day (Say cheeeeese!! Yayy! I just made you smile. Please come back tomorrow and say cheese again)

🔹What other people think of you is none of your business (What if I need to correct them?)

LIFE
🔹Do the right thing (at all times)

🔹God heals everything (including broken hearts)

🔹However good or bad a situation is, it will change (preferably for the better)

🔹No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up. The best is yet to come. (I love this one, not best is yet to come part. That sounds cheesy. I like the first part but yeah the best is yet to come)

🔹When awake in the morning, thank God for the morning (and do the same when awake in the afternoon, evening and night for the afternoon, evening and night)

🔹Stay happy (cos you deserve to be)

  1. I actually agree with all of them. Now, have I lived by them. Not like I would like BUT then again this is a new year and I am going to give it my best shot AGAIN. There a few that have become habits like drinking 2 litres of water (peeing is a problem but…sorry, TMI? Lol!) Ok moving on, and walking for an hour thrice a week ……But then again I also promised not to talk to much about what I was going to do again. I was just going to shut up and do it. Happy New Year Mstizzle!

  2. This handbook is a must have oh..biko…I need grace to be able to live by this list in 2013. I definitely will put in more effort into becoming a better person this year.

  3. as for that read more books than 2012.. aint sure o.. i have like 10 books from the library i am yet to open… been busy playing games online and on my phone… just busy! now that i say i am playing games i feel like i am silly!

  4. Singing ‘the best is yet to come’ ala Michael Bubbli…….
    I already do most of the tips on the list. Mostly from the selfish point of…they made me feel good :) .
    Sleep for 7 gini??!! Come and tell my – I am okay with less than 5hrs sleep – body. annoying!
